Cape Kaliakra, located on the northern coast of Bulgaria, is a place of breathtaking natural beauty and rich history that makes it one of the most captivating destinations in the Black Sea region. It stretches majestically out to sea, offering breathtaking panoramic views to anyone who visits. The vertical cliffs towering over the blue waters of the Black Sea create a truly spectacular landscape, inviting contemplation and admiration of nature at its most imposing. However, it is important to mention that, during our visit, the cape was buffeted by strong winds. Despite the wind, the beauty of Cape Kaliakra was undeniable, and the sound of the wind added a sense of drama and grandeur to the place. For centuries, this cape has witnessed important historical events and has played a crucial role in the battles and disputes that have marked the region. Its name is said to derive from the legend of the goddess Kaliakra, whose palace stood atop the cliffs. In addition, the ruins of ancient fortifications and buildings can still be found on the cape, reminding us of its rich past and adding a touch of mystery and romance to the place.
